Default help me please 2012 cummins

help,

took my 2012 cummins to the dealer to change the oil and get a tire rotation today.

no problem at the appointment. but on the way home about 3/4 of a mile from home the oil light came on and no oil presure!! drove it the rest of the way home. when i got in th the driveway the truck stoped running. got out and look under the truck oil is all over the under side of the truck. there is no drain plug in the pan.

call the dealer when i was **** off. they did come get the truck and give me a rental truck how ever is gas half ton. and not new!!!

my qustion is should i make them give me a new truck. my truck only had 4800 miles on it.
or shoul i be happy with a new motor? is ther any thing beside the motor they need to replace?

what is your oppion guy and gals.

wow i agree with pap. i would be wanting a new truck. but if they do just replace the motor. i would make damn sure they replace it with a long block not a short block and everything on the new motor new nothing swaped from the other motor. if they wont i would just get an attorney. then make them buy you a new one.

With out a doubt I would demand a new truck. I would go to the dealership and wouldn't leave till I got one

As much as I would like to agree with everyone on the new truck for you the chance of you getting one out of the dealer are slim and none. They will probably do a crank and bearings replacement and/ or short block replacement if they have to. You could get a lawyer and sue but you will spend untold thousands and spend years (3 to 4) before you even talk to the dealers lawyer and even then it's unlikely that you will come out with any real saticfaction. I wish you the best of luck with this but the dealer is responcable for only the repair of the damaged parts. You might try working a trade with them for a new truck for no money exchange but even that is doubtful. I'd also look for a different dealer to take my truck to. Just out of couriosity, what dealer was this and where are they located. ( I'd like to avoid them too.) Sorry again for your troubles and best of luck.
