As for when the light comes on, it is NOT the condition of the oil that sets it off. There is nothing that can gauge this....at least not to date. What it monitors is engine time, speed, temp, and miles of course, and calculates an estimated oil condition. With the dpf and regen fuel coming from the cylinder and not a direct injector, if you regen more often, my guess is that would decrease the time of interval quit a bit. Based on this, I would think those towing heavy with the regen not going off that often, their interval would actually last longer than the non-towing driver?

Well mine definitely goes into regen alot; at least I think that's what it's doing. I've never had the maintenance message come up for the DPF being so much of a % full, so it must be regenerating alot. I know when I was doing more highway driving my oil change would last almost to 5k. I know that has alot to do with it, too.

I did the deletes and change oil ever 7500. I didn't even reset oil counter and it still has yet to go off. I've done 2 7500 miles plus another 1000 since done deletes.

The auto parts stores usually jack up their oil prices. I always get 3 gallons of Rotella 15W-40 and a Mopar filter at WallyWorld for about $45-$50.

Yes auto parts store are outrageously over priced. Rotella T6 going for 27 bucks a gallon, OUCH. I pity the guy who actually pays that...

Yeah super tech and travelers are both warren products IIRC.

The ad packs are different brand to brand, one might have more zinc, one might have more phos or molly or boron...etc etc. Like Delo has a lot of moly and Delvac has a lot of boron etc. Rotella actually doesn't have the greatest looking ad pack on paper but the UOA seem to come out fine and that is all that really matters.

While the inputs look a little different the performance from one brand to another isn't materially different so I would run whatever is cheapest.
