Default EGR delete

im installing the H&S EGR/COOLER delete kit but i wanted to remove my butterfly valve. it tells me to unplug the wiring to the egr but my question is does it make a difference if i leave it installed and just unplug the wiring or do i need to remove the actual butterfly valve

the only reason i havnt done it yet is bc it looks like its gonna be a pain in the *** to do
got any tips?
