Default fuel filter

discussion lately has stated that fuel filters are only sold with the plastic housing. I see on NAPA site that fuel filter for 6.7 is available element and O-ring only, no housing. Anybody use these or is there a better option out there?

I settled on WIX, this is a big trucking town and WIX is their first choice in most autoparts stores. I like the elements, guy made me a deal on buying two elements and two filter/element packages. Geno was out, dang it. Modified the wheel skirt by cutting 1 1/2 inch section next to shock off and filter can be changed without going under truck. I found my old "pump filter pliers" with the long wide jaws for irrigation pumps and they work great removing the old housing. Then underneath for about a minute to attach sensor wire and woop woop done in under 15 minutes. Pop riveted a rubber flap over the enlarged opening so the wheel skirt still does the deed. I change fuel filter at 7500 miles with my oil and filter, what has everybody else been doing?
