The XRT will turn off the EGR but your better off installing the delete kit.

Could something happen if I dont remove the egr manaully..instead of deleting it via xrt tuner? Could I delete the cooler via tuner as well or once the egr is turned off via tuner will that turn off the cooler?

Its better if you just unbolt the cooler and the rest of the egr plus turn it off. Even thought its off exhaust is still sneaking into the intake. Better in the long run just to do it as soon as possible.
