Smoke ????
Do you want it to smoke or not? The addition of a programmer increases fuel, which will cause smoke if it is not compensated with more air. Prob not a good idea if you still have the dpf and egr on that rig. Get rid of that stuff before programming and do an intake and straight exhaust. If you don't want it to fuel real hard/smoke you could always go with banks products... Hehehe
If banks has a programmer for the 6.7 it'd be the first time I've heard of it. Smoke is fuel that has not been fully burnt usually happens when you have more fuel than air. Smarty is a fairly clean tuner H&S tunes will black out a intersection easy. both are good tuners but as mentioned I wouldnt smoke unless the dpf is gone.
my smarty smoked like crazy when i first got it with sw14 then updated it now with sw23 i have to lug it pretty hard but once the turbo catches up it goes away and u can run a programer without doing deletes but the question is why would anyone want to
I have an h&s and it only smokes when i put it on the highest setting and stand on it from a stop and its not super thick smoke but when i first put it on it didn't smoke at all that was about 5000 miles ago
My 01 had Banks on it and it would turn an underpass into midnight when you got on it. I finally downloaded the me program on my smarty and a dpf delete and unhooked my egr and it really cleaned up the smoke unless I stand on it now.
I have the H&S Mini Maxx and a few other things. Doesnt smoke til I put on 175 tune and stand on it. Clutch doesnt like that too much though so I run mine on the first tune. Its like 50 or 65hp, no smoke, and its the setting i get the best MPGs.
