Default I found out why my 08 6.7 is dead

I pulled intake off and the top of the grid heater was closed off solid with black sutt and I guess thats what caused the bottom end to go bad. I wonder if it is because of emissions and if so would dodge be liable

The emissions is problably one of the major reasons that something happend. With the Egr system on that truck and the crank case vent venting oily air into the intake systems of the truck after a certain amount of miles could lead to issues I think. And as for dodge being liable I do not know on that part.

if the top of the grid heater was plugged with solid with soot wouldnt you have noticed a major loss of power before the bottom end went out??? and as far as dodge covering it im not sure unless their was a way to prove it

I think if it's still under warranty and has all the stock emissions on it they would have to.

In earlier post I said that I just bought this truck, so there would be no way for me to know anything that happened to it. Ive only had it 3 days and here is a pic of it closed off

That's BS! If dodge wont fix it, i'd get it running again and drive it through the wall of their showroom.
