I do know there is something in the works right now for the 6.7 which should solve the headgasket problem once and for all. Once it's been tested and proven, it will be made public.

I'll second fixing it right the first time. It is a bit more expensive, but the money you spend to have the head gasket replaced a second, or even third time, will go a long way towards doing it right. Til you at least get studs in your truck, try to stay somewhat conservative with your timing, which will help keep the cylinder pressure down.
