how do i get this off my overhead (EVIC)

 

Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Do not start it!!).
Press and release the brake pedal two times.
Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly two times within 10 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF/LOCK position.

If it still comes on when you start up the truck try it one more time!

 

how many miles do you have on your truck.

I JUST DID MY DADS WITH 80k ON IT AND IT WAS REALLY DIRTY (NOT A BAD IDEA TO CHANGE IT, IT IS EASY, IT IS UNDER THE PLASTIC MOTOR CAP

 

mine went off (perform service) just under 70k. i havnt change the filter yet but i heard by several people this is what it is.
