Hey Guys,can anyone tell me how to turn off the service required lite in the overhead console.It is a '09 6.7,the DPF and EGR have been removed and I am running a Smarty Jr.

The over head chime that you are referring to is not a function that can be fixed on some trucks. It's not in the ECM calibration to adjust. Here is a link with instructions on how to clear that light http://diesel.org/resetting-the-perf...vice-indicator

 

I have the same problem with my 09, fully deleted with a Mini Maxx....


I did the brake, brake, gas, gas, gas thing to reset it and it went away for a few minutes....

I checked for codes ( there were none) but I cleared codes anyways then did the reset thing and it cleared up for a few days.......

So, I tried reloading the tune ( per the H+S guys advice) ..... so far ( knock on wood) it's cleared up........


Sorry, I can't say if it'll work with the smarty or any other tuner, but hopefully some of this helps....
