I have my HS black maxx located on a pillar just below the entry handle, available from H&S. I know some one that has theirs mounted overhead center in a triple cluster of smaller gauges with the Maxx below. I get anywhere from 10 to 14 mpg better mileage, but the power increase is incredible. Towing is a dream. The compression brake still works and getting there is a lot more fun. I was getting a message about the time I did the DPF and back pipe replacement. Seems "regenerating" means dumping fuel in the dpf filter, burning the stuff out of the filter and dumping the soot into the crankcase when done. Nasty! cost to replace the filter after about 10 to 15 regens is about $2500 per the dealer every 35k to 75k. no more!

I know these postings are old but I have almost reached the end. Sorry, new to the page. My truck, 08 6.7 auto 4x4. The tuner Smarty. dpf deleted no problems but I did notice that previous owner did not remove the cat next to turbo. Egr was deleted according to smarty. unplug this, remove plunger. Yep all worked. I got kit to remove all parts and took them off. Now truck sounds like a belt slipping when turbo spools. wierdest thing. Any ideas, help would be great.
