Hey boss I might have the answer for ya on another forum one of the guys built a OBD prot replicator (VERY WELL BUILT) it plugs into the OBD port has a right angle cable coming out of it that goes to the smarty and still has a OBD port in the same place for your edge to plug in so you could have both plugged in at the same time. its basically a T fitting for jsut what you talking about. I can get the contact info for you he posted up part numbers and wiring diagram if you wanted to do it yourself, he is a MOD on another site and awesome guy that is meticulous about his truck so it no hack job hollar if your interested, still learning this site so if ya hopefully I can find my way back here or shoot me a pm
here ya go I found a pic of it
gray conector goes to you smarty and the other end well you get the point LOL

Let me clarify, the throttle pedal does that automatically. Need less power? Use less throttle. Can't resist using the extra power? Put a brick under the pedal to limit travel.

ok all I'm trying to say is with h&s tuning (and other tuners are similar)the higher hp levels have more timing + more fuel I know when I do tow its a bad idea to run the high hp tunes due to the fuel and timing = more egts under a load
