i pulled my buddy's car trailor with my manual and with his auto and held 70 mph on a good sized hill. The tow haul mode on the auto is awesome and with the exhaust brake with almost stop you with ourt any braking. I bought the manual so i could run the truck harder in the winter( i haul my boat all summer). Which is better? depands on personal preference

It's all good though. The longbed allowed me to get the Titan fuel tank, which was an option I wanted anyway.

Stick all the way. Granted the new trucks don't suffer from the "slush box" syndrome that the older ones had but I like my NV5600 because I can drive all day in 4th if needed and it doesn't hunt - 'cause it can't.
It really depends. If I was doing lots of snow plowing or lots of trailer on, off crap the auto might be better but that is really I could think of.

i used to drive a 06 with a 5.9 6spd and i loved the way it pulled but my throw out bearing kept goin out every 20,000 miles. now i drive a 07.5 6.7 with an auto and it easily out pulls the 06 i had. it has 95,000 miles on it now and the only problem i have had with it was my turbo went out when it was under warranty. the auto tranny is runnin great and i pull goosenecks all time on my farm

Get an auto if you aint thinking about modifying it or adding some tuners and such, get the manual if you like shifting gear, towing, or whatever.. The stick shift is the way to go its been proven to take some punishment. I had an 06' Megacab auto and went through 3 transmission in a year with a simple tuner.. .. good luck on your decision.
