I just put a Drop In AEM Dryflow filter in my 07 6.7 and I have been getting the EGR code. Anybody know why I am getting this code? I was told that the Drop in wouldnt throw codes!

When mine threw the P0489 code, I ended up having to have the egr bypass valve replaced..which was done under warranty.
As for the P0513, it's nothing to worry about. It will throw that when you do a successive key cycle too soon to check for codes. ie.. if you missed the codes the first time..turn the key off and then try again. After a few times of starting the truck normally, the P0513 code will reset itself. According to my info, you're supposed to wait 2 minutes between tries.

Newbie 07...which code specifically are you getting? The drop in filter shouldn't be the cause of you throwing codes. I'm running an aftermarket intake and have had no problems related to it whatsoever.

ok thanks for the info, i know that most of the codes pertaining to the egr and emissions dont have much reason for worry but it just trips me out when i crank up my truck and the engine light is on constantly.

You're welcome. I see I'm not the only one who has codes that act like a polymorph virus. I fought with the P061A code for quite a while til I got my turbo and EGR cooler cleaned. Every time I turned the high idle on it would lope a couple of times and then light the dash up like a pinball machine. We still haven't figured out what was making it do that. I'd clear it, and it would come right back. It's been behaving itself lately though...not to mention it's running a lot better. Tech told me my turbo was the dirtiest one he's seen yet, and it's not like I baby it. It's only a matter of time til some things fall off and fix that problem.

that code shouldnt have anything to do with the filter you put in that means that the butterfly in the egr is not opening or closing properly. that is what i was told by the local "5 star dealer" , anyway mine has been flashing that code for weeks, no problems with the way the truck runs
