My advice, forget about a smoke switch. The smoke switch has to be the dumbest invention for a diesel. Start doing some research on tuners/programmers that will increase mileage and performance.

I would also like to know how to wire a smoke switch, all I need to know is which wires to use. I have a 2012 cummins.
I have a H&S Mini Maxx and the only time I can get it to smoke is when its on Performance mode and I get on the throttle but it doesn't put out that much smoke.
If someone else could tell me how to be able to roll heavy smoke ill try it

I finally talked to a man at North Texas Diesel Performance in Lewisville Tx, and he told me that dodge reconfigured how the map sensor works and thus eliminated the effects of the smoke switch. This started on the 2010 and up, if I find another way I will post the results.

I get the "smoke tune" question alot on another forum... These newer ECMs really are strict when it comes to comparing values to deliver fuel.

I know its next to impossible with just a tuner.
