Emissions Trouble
Okay. So as I mentioned a year or so back Albuquerque just started emissions on diesels. I have the Smarty still. I have no codes. I went and tried to pass today, and failed Surprisingly not as bad as I expected. Like I said, no codes, but I had 3 conditions on the test that were coming up as not complete: catalyst, O2 sensor, and EGR. Now, he asked me if I had had my tuner plugged in recently and I said yeah this past weekend. The thing that he couldn't understand is the O2 was showing all zeros, so it wasnt giving any data at all. I only need to meet one more of the 3 conditions and the truck will pass. He said since I plugged it in this weekend try driving the crap out of it for another week or so and see if one of them will clear. The thing he brought up tho, was the tuner might be completely blocking these 3 conditions, which will cause it to never pass, and in turn force me to put it back to stock. Has anybody had experience with this yet? Has anyone actually passed a test with a Smarty yet? I live in town, and don't have the commodities to put it back to stock right now, but I can do it a friends house if its absolutely necessary. Thanks
