most of us know of some of the problems that they are having with the new ford and i was wondering if there were any common problems that have resurfaced yet on these new cummins. so lets have em :pc:

I heard they are having some crank issues, but I dont know any details. What problems are the new 6.4 Fords having?

They shoot flame out the tailpipe, but I don't think of that as a problem...really.

I used to run a old big cam 400 cummins that shot about 6-10' of flame out the stacks after we turned the pump up 47%. she'd climb the grapevine at 55 mph+ grossing 80,000 but need to be inframed every 100,000 miles or so but she was fun to drive.

So far, I have only heard of one, and that is only that you actually have to run the truck to burn the crap out of the particulate filter. But we all know a diesel has to be run anyway.

yea that's the big deal with it...you have to get it out and run it to clean out the dpf.

well i heard one the other day, the cylinder walls are not all even thickness so that if you romp on her cold you can warp the block but if she is warmed up you are good to go
