Did you install new ccv filter then the bypass kit. Some people gut the stock filter just to route vapors to exterior filter.im just trying to gather input before I do mine.

hello how did you gut the old filter? the way i see this ccv filter working is oil & vapor come up thru one side of filter vapor is vented thru some fiber outlets which is vented to turbo intake or to atmosphere thru little delete kit but what about the oil is there not enough to worry about ? when you say gut the filter do you mean just remove it ? please explain. i did like pop14 got parts from auto zone then looked at removing ccv filter dont want top end full of oil

Did a little research.you pry old filter apart and remove paper.then it just becomes a chamber for the gasses to go through out the exit side to exterior filter. Going to do mine this weekend

Could this be one of the reasons my overhead console is giving me the "get my *** to the dealer now" message? I have h&s maxx with dpf and egr deletes? I have yet to figure out how to clear the message and the dinger on startup? truck has about 43k on it and two other mechs have tried the pump the gas and break restart for the message with no change.

Ok turn key on without starting. Press brake pedal twice then depress accelerator twice in less than ten seconds then turn key off. Your truck is programed to alert you at 67.500 miles of either ccv or egr cleaning
