Default Gonna Build one 2008 King Ranch crew 6.4

Just picked her up a couple weeks ago, dropped a 5 inch lift under it, working on some new skins/wheels.... I know the old skool, drove a Freight Shaker with a 450 cat 13 over around the country for years... but this new fangled stuff... lets say its got me head spinnin trying to figure out who has the best what and which what is the best way to go...

The emissions issue is a prob, maybe one of the members from AZ can help me out... its not gonna be a daily driver, and someone mentioned to me that i could get a waiver which would not require emissions. I could yank the dpf and do some cutting and tig welding and then drop it back in so's to look like its OEM, but im not sure how far they go into the emissions testing....

IM open to any suggestions, i got a decent budget to work with, and wouldnt mind having a 1/4 mile tread peeler when im finished... would also like to get a lil better mpg in the off track mode soft footin im at about 13.4 as she sits....

Ive also seen it go into clean out mode 3 times since i got her, and that covers about 3.5k miles driven... it kinda worries me, as i've read a few posts about probs dealin with it....

Id sure appreciate some help in the advice catagory.... also, does anyone know of any other manufacturer of an electric step other than AMP?? being gimpy with the lift and meats... well, should be self explanitory... im about to invent my own if i cant find someone with a realistic price tag on them...

Thanks in advance for any help

Okay

i been lookin at exhaust sys, i guess im flat out gonna have to do a delete no matter what i do, i can figure somethin out there to keep the local clean air team out of the picture.... now do i wanna go further up to the exh manifold with it or would the delete (replacement) back be sufficent... muffler delete sounds wonderful an all but it will play hell on the hunting drive, glass, make the stalk technique! is it gonna be that much louder without or does the ID of the pipe keep things mellow enough for a drive, spot an stalk ... magna flow has a nice exhaust kit from delete back, but i think i can have one of the local fellars i know do a custom for about the same if not better....

programer, sct has what looks nice, i hear a lot of hoopla about the bully, the banks sounds good as well, if you were more worried about customizing ability and variety... some of them i seen, seem to state that you have a 3 setting ability.... does this also mean that they wont accept any other programming ? Which ones also do tranny or do the programmers do tranny or do i need a seperate beast for the tranny... do any of them allow for adjustment on the fly >? is there one that really does it all... and do ya need the dash top monitor or will just the programmer alone do it....

Intakes ( air cleaner wise), heck for what i see out there i could do a lil aluminum bendin, tiggin here and there and make my own, tubing can be done on a mandrel at the exhaust shop.... seems like a lot a cash for what ya git on them lil jewels...

i think i got the straight poop on the CAC's, also been lookin at a lil fan i found that pushes enough air to choke a dc-10 hehehehe... not enough to build serious pressure but enough to aid the turbo to make a difference on the low end anyhow.

mist sys, im totally unfamiliar with them, do they hit the front of the CAC with mist or are you adding the mist on the exhaust or intake side...

i guess this at least has a few questions that might be opinion worthy....

oh yeah and no i dint find cowboy16's old GF who had the King Ranch no offense intended Cowboy16....

And im already on the ACAD workin out the electric step, still open to any other options till the actual cutting, milling, welding and motor mounting starts...

cheers.... i aint a drinker anymore per'se but i used to know the fridge handle all to well... but as long as ya dont git stupid, by all means have another....

Night Ya'll

Holy smokes.... when i said i was gonna build one, hehehe, i was figurin on havin some giddy up an go, but thats freakin some serious HP/TQ if i didnt have to make the truck last for then next 20 yrs id be all over it... i mean i have a decent budget, but i do need to leave something for the grandson... id be buyin tires twice a week runnin around like that ( not to mention the parts broken) and my insurance cost lmao....

I did pick up some 17" flat black wheels and new treads this week ( 20 inch tires are danged expensive), im still researching the tuners and such ( but thanks to the posts i see im getting close to thinkin i know what im gonna buy), got my problems with the emissions figured out, im just gonna go dual resident and register all of my trucks in SD. I now have a job( if you can call it a job) working out of SD so it only makes sense... so as soon as the tags are in place out with the dpf and in with the 4 inch exhaust...

my fan idea after crunchin numbers dont look so good while it might help on the low end it may end up causing some restriction at the higher end of the tach,.... so im lookin at building a dual intake, i think i got the room to do what i want to do and can keep it out of the heat for most of the run. i guess after lookin at the replacement boxes available and the cost, if i cram twice the air into the stock box the result should be at least the same if not better.

Will the stock CAC supply what i need ??? or should i plan on a better unit ? i dont see a whole lot of posts on it being a must have item...

thanks for the input folks i do appreciate it!
