No way to take DPF off without a tuner or a DPF-r type device. Or you can take the DPF off and deal with a check engine light - but you'll need a Ford scan tool to reset the DPF counter and clear the regen.

It will go into regen without a DPF, and it will STAY there.

However, from what I have been told, simply removing the DPF doesn't improve mileage, you need programming to compliment it to optimize the mileage.

If you had a high-sulfur 6.4 truck, you could LEGALLY remove all the stuff, but the calibration for the high sulfur truck is a de-rate so I imagine it doesn't get much better mileage than a stock truck.

An I'm not getting 23 anymore, I'm getting between 19-21 depending on how hot it is out. Good fuel, driving habits, additive, and a mild tune.
