Intercooler
Neighbors .... there doesn't seem to be any discussion of the intercooler. Has anyone considered installing an electric cooling fan on the intercooler? It seems to me (a newbie) that a colder air charge means more power under all circumstances. Less heat in the engine compartment usually means more fuel economy.
So .... I am thinking one 16" fan on the intercooler to run all the time. Then to address other heat issues .... two 16" fans on the radiator to come on with 205 degree thermostat and one 14" fan on the radiator that comes on whenever air conditioning is on.
On the rare occasion (almost never) it could mean 60 amps draw. But usually it will be 15 amps for the intercooler fan and 30 when both intercooler and A/C controlled fan is running.
The radiator measures 36" x 30" so should not be a problem getting 3 fans on it. The intercooler fan might have to be mounted as a pusher.
