I spoke at length on the phone with Matt from Spartan Diesel Tech last night. I am going to order their product, based on speaking with him and his knowledge. Not to mention the dyno sheets.

Of course, these products are for off-road use only

I have heard some negative things about SCT lately...just be cautious.

BTW: The 6.4 is a filthy pig of a motor - it will smoke with the DPF off on a STOCK tune.

(smoke is just wasted fuel, however.)

You MUST tune the PCM when you take the DPF off...or the truck will go into regen....and stay there.

It will smoke a bit, there's a youtube video of it, if memory serves me rightly.

The Spartan 250hp tune offers exceptional fuel economy from what I have been told and the truck will go like stink

I have to ask you one question, HOW THE HECK can you get 23 MPG out of your truck ??? My truck gives me in the city anywhere from 12.4 to 14.4 but mostly 13.3 to 13.9 !!!

He must have stocks on the gas company, thats why he won't say, but since he has a SPARTAN TUNER, he can no longer have the DPF, but I've never heard of 23 MPG ??? I've heard one guy claim 20 MPG

The best I have ever got in mine is 17 - that is driving in a way that if I was in dallas I would get shot. I would love to get 15 to 17 all the time and would fall in love all over again for 23 mpg!!

gunman - I drive mine hard as hell to and usually get anywhere from 10.5 to 12.5 - there are other factors involved like diesel quality and most of my driving is not in the stinkin city - my father-in-law tells me to use that deal that makes the air in the intake spin as it goes into the engine (can't remember what its called) - he also uses a magnet deal on his fuel line (he has a gasser) - I am willing to try anything but the dpf delete now - that may come later
