if your going to dyno or pull anything of considerable wieght i would get a pyro. i will once i get the money

The reason people to tell you to watch EGTs on a diesel is to prevent melting the turbo. Iguess you could use it as a tuning aid, but there's nothing there for you to damage. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine dynoing it, really the only thing you have to know is that the motor wasn't designed to make big power, so don't push it like it is, and if you've got an auto, remember they aren't strong.

So, I can turn up my pump, just watch the engine temp?
