Default Turboing a 6.2, have questions

So I have a 6.2 in an M1009 cucv that I am looking for more power out of....Yesterday I went ahead and purchased the turbo, exhaust manifolds, and intake manifold from a local salvage yard that had a old mid 90s one ton with a 6.5 in it.

My questions are this...I understand on the injection pump I crank it 1/4 turn for more fuel..I am confused in the articles Ive read there is an additional fuel pump I should have taken off this 6.5? Or is cranking the fuel up the only thing needed?

Is there anything else I should be ready for or have before undertaking this? It seems pretty straightforward, but as the questions may indicate I am new to this diesel game

Anyone? Anyone?

The 93 and older lift pumps for 6.5's is the best LP to get.

The 6.2 heads hold the injectors at more of an angle than the 6.5 heads, which could cause a problem with the passenger side turbo exhaust manifold. I have a 6.2 with 6.2 heads and 6.5 turbo setup. I used 6.5 injectors, lines, and injection pump on it. I didn't have an issue with the injector to exhaust manifold clearance, but I have short 6.5 injectors. I'm not sure how the length of my injectors compares to 6.2 injectors, but I believe they are the same.

Yes, you can use the 6.2 IP and turn it up, but I would not recommend turning it up 1/4 turn from the start. It could cause a runaway situation, where the engine revs up until its shut off or blows up. Start with 1/8 turn, I would recommend.
