I bought this truck and the injection pump went out right away, about 50 miles on it after i bought it. Took it to the shop to put new pump on and turbo went out on there test drive, it has a holeset turbo off of a cummins, does anyone possibly know what turbo this could be? Its a holeset but i just dont know what kind, the serial number is a little rusty and i cant get all the numbers to get the same one

 

hx35 or hx40 most likely.
would help to know if it is wastegated or not?

 

It is waste gated

 

HX35 or HX 40 with the T3 manifold flange are common replacement turbo's that perform better than stock.

There are even hybrids of the 2 out there.
pictures posted in one of the cummins forums might nail it down all the way?

What else are you planning to do with the swap a turbo swap in itself not much as far as performance goes, update your signature so we have a baseline of what you are working with.
