Safety of my powerstroke

The biggest restriction on the factory system is the CAT and Muffler so your going good if you want to leave the rest in place. However a Turbo back system can be had for $300 or so...

CSI im not tryin to make an argument I just want to explain what im sayin,. Chips are cheaters, they trick you computer to push more fuel to the injectors, and yes you can make a truck gain 400-500 horsepower and only ad studs, but the injectors, fuel rails and pumps are not ment to push the fuel required to create the horsepower over time those parts prematurly fail. New pump wont create more HP it will create the power the injectors need to make the horsepower. Doin all that to properly make your truck run at the 400 hp is how I would do it rather than add studs and chip and tune, you can still do it but you need to prepare the truck for it. For CTPowerstroke ya what wild bill said strait pipe good place to start and an egr deleate kit. EGR stands for Exhaust gas receculation it takes some of the unburned fuel and runs it back through the engine to be burned up again and it creates lose of power you can blame california for that. This is just my two cents of what I would do.

RanchandTCR, not to be rude, but please stop posting in here because I disagree with virtually 100% of everything you've said, and your suggestions on parts are TERRIBLE for a 6.0.
I will reply after lunch with what is wrong with everything you posted, it's too much to type at the moment.

You dont need a chip if your willing to put money into the head( studs and injectors) and upgrading your fuel pump chips are a way to cheat your way out of doin it the Right way. But there good for the guy who isnt gonna run on max setting 100% of the time on a stock engine. My grandfather got a 6.0L and its got 180K and Im startin to smell diesel in the oil. If he gets the money were gonna do a cummins conversion.

Ranchand, please don't take it the wrong way, but you posted a lot of misleading info. I hope you can just take it for what it is.
