Might try hitting it with some PB blaster and letting it soak in, and then maybe get one of those specialty sockets or wrenches that have the teeth in it to grab on to misshaped bolt heads.

Turbo is pretty easy to get out usually. For that back bolt I use a standard socket, a 3/8 ratchet and the correct length extension and drop it down over the top of the downpipe, then go to town.

ive tried everything i got and couldnt budge it. i went and bout a set of $25 sockets to take it out and droped the one i needed and cant find it. so i quit for the night. i cant see why anyone would want to own a v-8 diesel they are such a pain to work on

I bet there is a guy somewhere saying "I can't see why anyone would want to drive a truck, my scooter is so much easier to work on"

If you're having trouble with this, I can't wait to see what you think of the up-pipe...

pulling the fender flare and removing that heat shield behind the turbo made getting the up pipe out easy. but then again I was going aittle deeper in the engine then a delete. snapped 3 of the 4 bolts

is there anyother way to get this turbo off like with the pedastal attached? ive tried every socket and wrench i own and spent 50 bucks on specialty sockets and still cant get the back bolt out of the turbo. i might could get it out if the downpipe wasnt in the way but i cant see no easy way to get it out either

naw, it has to seperated from the pedistal unless you pull the cab. try this, seperate your downpipe from the cat and side the vband clamp that connects the turbo and down pipe all the way onto the downpipe. the downpipe should be loose, you can slide it and back alittle and give you alittle more room to work with. I took a piece of bailing wire and tied my downpipe back . I didnt have an issue getting the back bolt.
