Default What to do first?

The ? is should i tune first? or do the egr delete first or is absolutely necessary to do the delete, or is it inevitable that its going to have issues? has 119,000 and no issues now. Any input would be appreciated.

Definitely do the EGR delete first, and before you do a programmer, stud the heads. Your truck might have been one of the lucky ones who got a good solid motor from the factory, but you know, why risk it? Everyday that those heads aren't studded and that EGR is still in place, you are playing Russian Roulette with these engines.

It's best to take it to a shop, you can do it yourself by swapping one for one (pull out 1 bolt, put stud in, torque it, move to the next) but that is very risky and very highly not recommended. You would likely be looking to leave your truck at the shop for a day or 2. Labor is gonna be the big side, depending on the mechanic you can expect between $18-2200

I was just reading up on it and they said it would be a lot easier to raise the cab but can be done without doing that! That's alot of mula just to do studs!!!!

Yea studs are $ I would do coolant filter first, a good set of gauges fuel pressure, oil and coolant temp, then egr delete, then you could do a sct tuner with mild tuned but if you do anything over 60-70 hp head studs areallways a good idea. If you do the egr delete I would look at replacing the oilcooler at the same time if you do not have a coolant filter

Sinister.. Clean look for reasonable cost. If you choose that kit be sure to break hoses down and redo pipe dope on threads cause many kits leak if you dont.
