The truck does NOT have oil temp, and the other gauges on the factory dash board are all but useless. My trans temp gauge on the factory dash doesn't move at all, even though my stand-alone can read anywhere from 80-180. The factory stays the same. Not exactly my idea of accurate. The factory stuff is more of a "suggestion" than a real gauge. It works in increments. Take for instance the factory coolant temp gauge (bottom gauge on the right in my truck). It has around 5 or 6 predetermined "stops" and moves to a new "stop" every time it goes up 40 degrees or something (just pulling numbers out of my ****). It doesn't actually work like a real gauge.

How did this thread go from a discussion about gauges to a argument about a tuners?
Anyway, I think the analog gauges look the best. Kind of reminds me of an old WWII fighter or like being in an early jet cockpit. I came here not knowing what I wanted, but I looked up the ISSPRO EV'2s and they look pretty cool. Lots of nice features, too. I think when I get some money I'll invest in a pyro and oil temp for my 7.3. I don't really think I need anything else.

Probably because a lot of the progammer modules can double as gauges now. I agree, I like the stand-alone gauges too. I wont say analog, because you can get them with digital readouts too! EV2's are great gauges!

I still think I like the analog ones over digital because of that old-time airplane feeling. I like seeing the gauges spin around instead of just seeing a number, that's just me though.

Ahh I got ya. Yes, I agree, they are cool! We should get a picture thread going of our gagues/cockpit area of our trucks! I've seen it on other forums. Actually there's probably already one around here huh? Let's do one for our 6.0 section anyways.

Sorry Sorry I got linked here and didn't realize it was the 6.0 section. Is there just a general super-duty section?

Sure, there is a 7.3 section and a general section. Go to the main forum page. You'll see the general powerstroke section at the top of all the Ford stuff.

Actually here... https://www.dieselbombers.com/ford-t...-diesel-forum/
