well i finished off the fuel lines...

what a bitch.....

all the hoses for the f350 are about 24 inches too long... I have a long box plus i have the crew cab 4 seater....

So i can amagine there would be more hoses left over for a regular pick up.... or short box

The vapour return line hose has a 90 degree steel tube bend in it like a U....(to go towards the tank rather than the front of truck)

I think the kit was designed to have the vapor return closer to the tank, rather coming off where the fuel lift pump is......... but they forgot to update the kit.....

If i left the hose alone i was worried that it might rub some where and eventualy burst..

I ended up cutting the vapor return hose 30 inches off and installing a hose clamp and brass barb from local industrial hose maker.....into the air dog...

The kit comes with push loc hose barbs if you want to cut the hoses and join...
But i did not want to cut after spending the money on clean push lock fittings
I have the proper tools so there was no problem with that....

So saturday i have to finish the wiring...i am covered in diesel and i will finish the wiring tommorow.....take the service truck home tonight..

Took two hours to run the hoses and remove old lift pump and twist tie hoses out of the way, about an hour last week to mount the unit on the frame with hardware..

I will post pics so you can see what i am talking about...

you can see the extra hose left for a Long box crew cab
you can also see i cut the vapour return hose and the steel u tube to make install easier..

I tried the truck a few minutes ago,,,,
did not notice fuel injectors running smoother like mentioned on web site

I will fill the truck up with diesel (1.10 a litre) more than gas here in Toronto, ontario
to see if a can beat 550 miles to the last tank with stock lift pump..

Usually it takes quite a while to get all of the air out of the system, maybe then you will notice it quieter, but I wouldn't really count on it. Looks good, thanks for sharing!

So i just filled up again 128 Litres (28 imp gallons) 542 miles

19.35 miles per imp gallon

The tank prior to install got 550 miles on a tank

so based on before and after there is no change in fuel ecconomy with air dog two
on a stock f350....

i was interested if i had a more fuel effiecient ride after the install

There wont be any fuel economy seen. Yes it might make the injectors quieter, but in general it might be louder with the noise from the pump. In general, that is.

If you're worried about not having the heater there anymore, you can buy heated wraps that velcro around those style filters, and just need a 12V source. I have one on my Donaldson for my vegistroke. I use it in the cold months. I think they were under $100.

i did not know that there is a heater in the oem pump

I guess the advantage of having a air dog two is the filtration of 4 micron over the 10 micron

Yep. Did you take the secondary filter out now that you have the AD?

i left the secondary filter in it is new

i know it is use less 4 micron

the oem lift pump is 10 micron

thinking changing the banjo bolts out next installing the 7.4 L plus the copper washers

I like the truck the way it is right now.....thinking of adding the aimsoil bypass oil filter system with the alloy oil caps and oil filter cap

This way all the main fluids are filtered.....

I was also thinking adding the new 2008 ford f350 transmission deeper pan and new filter
I have 30,000 miles on the last tranny flush.....15,000 on oem tran filter.....
change that more freqently
