need a smoke tuner

This place is going downhill fast IMO.
Most of us only got into diesel motorsports because of Smoke, and if you say that's not true, then you're probably lying.
Obviously there is a time and a place it. Also we're not talking about an all out smoker that will destroy the turbo or be completely useless. I said I got a tune specifically for this. I'm sure most of you have heard of the looney tune. That is what I have, with an extra bit of smoke. It's not excessive and you can drive it completely normal and get no smoke out of it at all if you wish.
Obviously not all smoke is wasted power, otherwise pulling trucks wouldn't smoke at all. This has been proven.

Looney toons as in sat mornin cartoons? That's the only looney tune I know of as for this place going down hill fast... I've been contributing alil more than you and this is by one of the better sites and more understanding around for people helping people. I dare you to post this same topic on compd and see what happens... As for smoke in pulling rigs that's off road purposes and yes no matter what smoke is wasted power. But if I had an all out pulling rig I'd want to be overfueled vs under hence smoke...

No offence I didn't want you to wreck your truck without knowledge of what you were actually tryin to accomplish. But just wanting smoke with no power or mpg increase just struck me as odd... So now it's time to learn. With added power come some smoke as a byproduct as well as other areas that need to be addressed to be able to work with the new found power. Honestly yes some people just want smoke but I'd say 99% of the people that have trucks want more power besides smoke. It just comes with the territory when you taking things beyond what the factory intended from the truck. Like I said no offence but your kinda going at it backwards here. That's my 2 pennies....

Just rednecks.
Those that know what they are doing got into diesels because its the smart choice.
G@sser V8: $3000 to get 20% more power and only get 15mpg.
Diesel: $3000 to nearly double your power, get 23mpg+ and live three times as long as the g@sser.

Like I said before, smoke has a time and place, if this guy wants to lay some smoke on some back country road on his buddies riding behind him, more power to him. We can just hope he's smart enough and mature enough to know how to use it responsively.

This is what should have been said up front to the OP, not just bashing him. Good post!
Reality is, most of the younger crowd who are getting into the diesel scene DON'T KNOW what they're doing. Hell I didn't know much about diesels before I bought this truck. I knew the basics, but not anything like what I know now. (Obviously, cause I bought a damn 6.leaker). I bought mine for the simple fact I wanted a diesel. I dont tow hardly anything (a two place sled trailer maybe...) and I have no "need" for it, but I love it and wouldn't go back to a gasser again.
My whole point was it's not up to us what this guy does with his truck. Smoke has it's time and it's place. It IS a part of diesel motorsports for the time being, whether we like it or not. It's just up to us to be responsible with it. There was no need to jump on this guy like happened. That is all! Carry on!

going back to the guy's question, i had a PPE on my 06 6.0 and it wouldn't smoke much in low RPM (building boost) but when it was at WOT it would cloud the street and flat out move, kept up with my buddy's 6.7 cummins that was puttin 390 horse to the ground, never got mine on a dyno before i got rid of it. hope this helps.
