what is the advantage of the 08 diff cover do? i know it is aluminum and looks better?

What other conversions do people switch over?

The '08 cover is cheaper than anything else yets provides cooling to the fluid. At a price of maybe $75 (including new hardware) it's hard not to swap out the covers.

As far as other conversions I have seen an entire interior from an '08 swapped into an older truck and Excursion.

Nothing else really comes to mind right now.

the best thing about it is the filter. the newer 5r's dont have the inline filter which only filters 10% of the fluid anyway. ford upgraded the pan filter so more of the fluid is filtered.

i want to do this on tranny pan from my 05, should i replace the front cartridge filter? and then get the 08 pan with the new style filter? will the new filter install with no problems with the new pan? how much did this conversion cost
