air intake and mpgs
hye guys. im half way new to the diesel truck world, grew up on tractors but we never had a truck thats all electronics. anyways i was wondering about cold air intakes. are there any that are better then others out there. i have a ford with the 6.0 and im looking to gain some mpgs. any suggestions?

Basically, keep in mind that the equation of Air + Fuel - Restriction = Power. Keeping the equation is relative balance and you will always have a truck (regardless of brand) that operates as well as it can under specific HP / TQ settings and or fueling curves if you will.
Agressive fueling curves need lots of air (this in turn means intakes, manifolds and turbo(s). If in this case you don't address the restriction side (exhaust and supply) you will have issues with your EGT's.
