Fuel Pressure Gauge Q's
Mornin, question....has anyone used a grease gun hose to relocate the electric sending unit for FP gauges? can Diesel corode the rubber over time?
second, this is a dumb one, when i install my adapter into the fuel bowl/filter housing will i need to perform any bleeding or air prevention action? or is there no risk while engine is off?
thanks guys. Jeff. KCCO

What is it you're trying to do? Just move the sending unit away?
Try this: Driven Diesel 6.0L Fuel Pressure Adapter
I don't think I'd use the grease gun hose myself... but I suppose it does work under pressure.
You shouldn't have to worry about it, just turn the key and let the fuel pump run for a few seconds. The beauty of the fuel pressure gauge is you'll know when fuel pressure is back up and you can fire the truck up now... haha. It's nice for changing fuel filters too.

Yeah I just wanted to locate the sender as to not interfere with the rad hose. I ended up using a street elbow to exit out of the test port metric slash 1/8npt fitting to gain the clearance. Scrapped the hose idea. Reading a solid 55 or so at wot on the gauge. Cycled the ignition three times and she's happy . Thanks.
