A518 swap with 727 question?
no the high pressure switch screws in to the 3rd gear test port on the right side of the trans. im trying to find the link for you that has pics, if not ill just take a pic for you tomorrow and show you. but it reads pressure from 3rd gear and shifts it when it sees 37psi i believe. so with a 3:55 rear its around 37-38mph and kicks out around 32psi or 30 or so mph. again it depends on geering because with my low geared 4:10 it hits OD at 27mph

if you want to do any spirited driving just keep it out of OD and when you want it to shift just flip switch back and it will shift into OD.

oh ok i see. ya if you found some pictures that would be awsome. at the moment i still have the stock 3:07 gearing i beleive that came stock in the non ic, non overdrive trucks so im sure it would shift into o/d at a pretty high speed. thanks for all the help with everything too!!!
yeah i wish i had a 3.07, i run out of steam at 75mph and hit a brick wall at 80. looking for a 3:55 pumpkin for it, truck was a gasser...... i cant find the damn link but my buddy has it ill have him email it to me or ill just take some pics tomorrow. the whole thing cost me about $12 in parts to do, the AC switch was around that i believe.
ya thats basically how mine is now with having the 727 tranny. i think ill get some pretty good fuel mileage with overdrive and the gears i have. whered you get the switch?
I bought the switch at napa, here you go.... Another way to fix OD. - Dodge Diesel - Diesel Truck Resource Forums
