i am wanting to upgrade my turbo and have a few questions. i am wanting to get about 300 hp out of my truck and i don't think my stock turbo will quiet gt me there, so what is the best route. should i just upgrade my turbo, or get a different one? i found this one for sale. don't know if it is the one i need or what. just share your opinion on what i need. thanks

ok, i think i narrowed it down to either a hx40 or a s300. but i need some opinions on what size if i go with the hx40. i don't know to much on the sizes of turbos so any help would be appreciated

 

That HY wont be a good choice.

A super40 or a S300 based turbo would be good. The Super HX40 flows more then a stock S300. For your power goals I think you would be very happy with teh Super HX40.

 

ok thanks. i heard some people talking about getting them off of a c7 cat engine at a junk yard. is that ok to do or not. thanks

 

I would run a Super HX40 before a stock S300 take off. Better flowing turbo.
