Default P-pump swap complete

So over my Christmas break from school i did a P-pump swap on the '92. It went fairly smooth and my only bump was getting a 2nd gen lift pump to work with my stock cam. im not sure if there is a difference but i broke 1 from cummins(made in China) and local autoparts store brand. they worked for awhile and then gave up. So airdog it was and after that it ran perfect. Here is the link to my pictures if anyone is interested.

Another thing i did different compared to the thread in the sticky is i used my old throttle linkage, since my donor engine was out of a fedex truck. I welded the throttle cable bracked to the frame rail and using the same ball and stud rod was able to control my throttle.

well i got the donor engine for $600. that was splitting it 50/50 with another person. I had the head gone through which costed more along with me sandblasting and painting quite a few parts under the hood. I added 60lb springs and a few pump mods. its hard to stop once your already that deep into it. so i guess to answer your question, i could have done it for $600 plus replaceable parts(gaskets, fluids, etc.) but chose to really get into it.
