why a holley black?

Default why a holley black?

Im used to vp44 and the fuel delivery. The ve pump has me confuised should I block off the mech. pump and go elec.

Absolutely, positively, YES!
A Chevy block-off plate supposedly works to block off the hole, too.

The Holley Black (or equivalent) is exactly what the VE needs.

I like my holley black to, so far it's been almost a year with no problems, never drops below 11 psi even on a long WOT run.

On mine I'm running 3/8" in and 5/16" on the return.
Dar's set-up is much more sophisticated than mine, but mine is hard to know it's there besides the growl of the pump, because I tucked it up inside the frame rail and I'm using the stock VE filter/separator on the head.

I probably SHOULD pre-filter it before the pump, though.

Those Hollys are nice I have sold a few of them but guys who want the best performance and reliability are getting the airdog 150'S

The simple, inexpensive Walbro 392 works just fine supporting 450HP.

i've heard those raptor pumps from air dogg are good too. i think they run like 300-400 bucks
