Default turbo upgrade

Im kinda new to the diesel performance game. I have a 93 d 250 so far it has a 4 inch exhast a homemade air intake denny t fuel pin 3200 governer spring and the pump is turned up alittle bit. But the biggest problem i have right now is the lag i was wondering if going to the 16cm houseing instead of the 21cm it has on it now will make a big difference or should i just wait and save my money for a whole new turbo and if so what are some good turbos its my daily driver and i tow with it accasionally but i have a heavy foot so i want someething that will get up and go.

is save up for a s300 thats a little on the small side. a s300g (super b) would run good or something like a 62-65-12 would run pretty good, especially when you get some injectors.

if you can get a used 16cm housing cheap (around $100) I say go for it, you can always re sell it later when upgrading to your S300.
