Well my guess was a good one. With only 2 turns on the fuel screw and everything in my sig, I was hoping to see about 250. Well, the truck laid down a best of 263 / 610!!. The graph says they're uncorrected numbers though. In each of the 3 runs, I brought the RPMs down to between 1,600 and 1,700, then stabbed it. I don't recall actually running at WOT, truthfully.

The guys from Jefferson State Diesel gave me 3 runs and I had a choice to either drive it myself or let them do so. Of course, I ran it myself!

Run #1 -
Gear: 5th (direct)
Peak HP: 250 @ 2,400rpm
Peak Torque: 550 @ 2,400rpm

Apparently I backed out before 3,000rpm, with my tach showed about 2,700rpm when I let out of it. Way too soon, I know . But, the computer showed that I let out of it at just beyond 2,400rpm. The tach read perfect at idle, matching the computer at 800rpm. But, the higher RPMs seem to apparently be off by a bit.

Run #2 -
Gear: 6th (OD)
Peak HP: 263 @ just over 2,400rpm
Peak Torque: 610 @ 2,150rpm

My tach (again, reading different from the computer) was showing 3,000rpm but the graph shows just over 2,700rpm when I let out of it though. Looking at the graph, the horsepower at 2,700rpm seemed to show a steady horizontal line with a very slight fall before letting out of it.

Run #3 -
Gear: 5th (direct)
Peak HP: 263 @ just over 2,700rpm
Peak Torque: 539 @ 2,400rpm

I was impressed making the same HP as run #2, although slightly lower torque.

I dunno about you guys, but overall, I'm impressed with what the ol' rig put down for having as many miles on it as it does! A friend of mine recorded a video of Jefferson State's computer as I was running. Unfortunately, you can't actually see the truck on the rollers, but you could at least hear it! I should've had someone else take a video of the smoke show . I should hopefully have that video by tomorrow. I'm glad I took this opportunity to run. These definitely aren't the best numbers but I must say, I don't think they're bad considering what the truck's got!
