can't afford it. i can buy a whole other truck for 4500, and everything to swap a p-pump costs a whole lot more then that, besides then it wouldn't be a true fist gen

I've seen full motors that have been toasted or hydrolocked for 500-800 bucks that would get you all the parts you need to do a swap. It's not to bad if ya keep an eye out for the right thing.

Good point.. but after you do everything to the motor to hit 450-500hp wouldn't the cost be close to the same?

How bout this...

-TWIN turbos
-TWIN blue bottles in the bed
-TWIN VE pumps?

I've always wondered if someone could retrofit a set of dual inlet injectors (like the ones Scheid Diesel uses on the triple turbo "12 cylinder P-pump" equipped 6BT they pull with) to pop at VE pressures, then fab on a second VE pump. Twice the fuel, twice the power, right? It would take some hardcore tuning to get everything just right, but VE's are fairly simple to tune; timing and fuel rates are easily altered with the pumps on the truck.

Just another crazy idea from the drawing board of 93_Fummins...

yes ill prolly hace the same money in it..... till i get to pump mods on the p-pump, 14mm barrels and plungers arn't cheap, nor injectors or twins. i got a plan for one of those too..... in the future in a ford.
i think i would rather pup a p-pump on then two ve's, but it is a good idea just don't have the money to experiment like that

retrofit a vp44? I still think an aftermarket common rail system would be easy...

Sooooo, apparently you are looking for a liiiiiiittle more than 450-500hp if you are already talking about 14mm barrels and plungers....???
