what hp more hp out of 89
i have an 89 engine going to put in 79 k20 chevy what kind of hp can i get out of the stock pump and were can i find 120hp or bigger injectors how much fuel pressure can i put to the pump

get a good pyrometer and start tinkering with your pump there is a lot of "free hourse power" to be had out of that ol goat....theres a screw in the back of your pump called the power screw, turn it in a little bit at a time.but be careful too much could cause the engine to run away(means the rpm will go way up an the only thing you can do is kill the air to the engine...use a piece of plywood that will cver your intake housing on your turbo) and you will have to adjust your idle back after messing with the power screw.
on top of your pump there is the AFC cover 4 screws and a banjo bolt hold it on take it off (be careful not to loose the 2 copper washers on the banjo bolt) peal off the rubber and conected to it will be your fuel pin under that will be a star wheel(controls under what boost conditions your engine will reach full fuel) you can turn the pin and the starwheel to try an tune your pump for under boost conditions......
all in all you can get a lot out of that little pump with some tinkeren
