Default First Gen Gov. Spring

is putting a gov. spring in a first gen VE pump as hard as it sounds?

i dont think so. Best write up on that thet ive seen was in Diesel Power magazine. good pictures and all. I messed mine up because i forgot to back out the fuel screw. Get instructions on how to do it. And whatever you do dont forget to back out the fuel screw when puttin top of pump back on! Also dont forget about the "top hat" thing in there. It will wanna jump out on ya. other than that it aint to bad.

I didn't back out the screw... used a small pc of wire to hold the lever back, dropped it together and worked the wire out..

That is how we did ours.

it is 100x easier then it sounds to do.

i thought it was hard but one thing you cant forget is to mark your tic marks at first or else its a pain to position it just right.

i didnt have that good of instructions when i did mine but it wasn't as hard as i thought it was gonna be took me like 2hours and a few cold ones
