12 valve questions
yeah i know they all told me it is a lockup. all i know is i have a hd low stall lockup converter with a ton of welding on the inside where the stater is and on the fins to make sure it dont come unraveled
please help.so i carefully followed the directions on the turnin up the pump page,my truck is bone stock.i bottomed out the afc star wheel i rotated the fuel pin and bottomed out the smoke screw my results were a bunch of more power but didnt really get any smoke is that normal, someone please help
With the items under the afc housing you only get so much really. The biggest gains in smoke r the full fuel screw. Which in turn give more power to as a side effect.
There is another Smoke mod as well. inside the pump top is the AFC foot, you can grind it down, n it'll smoke like a 1800's steam engine! But, it makes the throttle extremly touchy. I never did it because of that, n the higher power guys end up getting a new one and leaving it alone. You'll notice the smoke on those mods u did under heavy throttle when the turbo isnt spooled. Like leaving from a dead stop n mashing it.

Yeah, I'm interested in it. Just ain't got no money right now. Send me a pm or an email. Thanks
That full power screw and a straight pipe were pretty much alll I did to the 93 5spd I used to have. It would roll smoke and roll the 37" tires too. The only other thing I did was adjust the throttle linkage and throttle stop. It did however reach 1400 degrees towing my jeep in the mountains. So far on my 92 I turned the smoke screw and a turn and a half on the full power screw. Its not quite as strong as my 93, but not bad.
each IP responds differently. And unless u have changed it, u got the nasty monster 21cm exhaust housing too.
So the 93 probably was a bit stronger. There r lots of adjustment to be made on the good ol VE.
