Yeah thats always the way man! Im outta the hospital, but im in rehab/old folks home. Its not too bad here. foods suck major but i get my pain killers, n 3 square meals a day. I cant go home till i get use of my arm, n hip is 100%. so im stuck here for the next bout 6 weeks.
But i got a laptop, so im in the forums 99% of the time answer'n questions. So ask away, if i cant answer it, i got people that can.

Nursing home is better than the grave. From the pictures, you are lucky to be where you are. I wish you the best and thanks for your help.

thanks for the info cowboy.my tranny guy told me that this tranny has a lock up converter.thats the reason why the converter was expensive.there is a yellow plug atop of the oil pan on the driverside for the lockup and the neutral safety.that plug is also for the selonoid that keeps it in od as well as lockn it up.i have been told by 4 tranny guys that this is a lockup converter.they told me that they started with the lockup in 91 and all the trucks from 91.5and later had it for sure.thats just what ive been told im not acting like a know it all or trying to argue bud just lettin you know what ive been told and what ive botten for this 91.

Well, there's always trucks that come out of the factory but don't actually exist.

5 speed manuals with 3.07 rear ends, trucks with D80 rear axles that weren't available with D80 rear axles, trucks missing tranny coolers, stuff like that.

How many connectors r on your tranny? I think like 4 or maybe its 3 is the later 47rh lockup offered in 94 and 95, maybe 96, before they went full electronic, hence the E designation for the replacement 47re.
I called several tranny shops n asked about this myself, they all said the same thing, lock-up. but the second u talk to other guys, n suncoast or BD, they tell ya its non-lockup. It is confusing, why they made a non lockup OD tranny is beyond me. But a highly debated subject for sure.
