extreme smoke will cause some wicked egt's, but I'd go turn the fuel pin about 90 degrees clockwise, fast and easy, and really only makes a diff at full throttle. Shouldn't melt your engine, i don't guess. I've driven mine about 150 miles. Seems good.

oh i almost forgot i have ride rite airbags on the front and a tool box that contains a fuel cell as well.the pump and filler are inside the toolbox so you only see a toolbox until you open the box.it holds 50 gallons of fuel.

the trans is a 727/a518 it is the overdrive tranny, and has a lockup converter.i guess the main part 1st thru 3rd is the 727 and the overdrive makes it an a518.make sure you keep up on that tranny because you will burn that thing up in a heartbeat if you start puttin lots of power to it,that is the only bad thin about these trucks is the tranny sucks until you have them beefed up.any tranny questions ask me i went through it all just finished mine on friday, its pretty damn sweet
