Default Injectors

Ok no bs here need numbers to back it up. What are the best injectors for a first gen. I have a factory motor. Nothing but exhaust and turned screws in the pump. I am going to put a powerstroke intercooler in and a cold air intake. I haven't decided between an exhaust side turbo upgrade or an hx-35, but one or the other is going to be put on. Either 14 or 16 cm just need some guidance. Let me know. Thanks

What are your HP and truck usage goals? All BS aside, you aren't going to work a 400HP 1stgen very hard. So if you're building a DD or a Toy then we can just send you to Schied or Budda for some proven 6X.016". If you're gonna tow with it, some 370's from New Era will make good usable power with some pump tuning.

Asking for "best" injectors is pretty inane without power goals, usage goals or budget information.

Probably something between 370's, 435's or custom 6x18's or 6x20's.

Well see I am not sure I want to use the truck as a truck pulling a trailer. I would love to make it fast but in my case I need a truck not a hot rod. I am thinking 450hp but I know that will never work for a daily driver so maybe 350hp. I would love to have 350 hp and 700 ft lbs of torque.

If you end up running the EDM 6x18's, you will definitely need a bigger turbo.

6x18's are to big for a 1st gen, 6x16's are about as large as you can go and still have the fuel atomize. KTA made more power with the 6x16's then 6x18's.

If your looking for a good mix of a truck to play and tow I think some 435's a s300 based turbo and a valet switch for towing along with the other supporting mods (gauges, fuel supply, and exhaust) would be a nice set-up.

I got 6x18's and they are awesome! They burn very well. I can putt around town with no smoke at all unless I really hammer down then I can blot out the sun! It's the best of both worlds. Perhaps 6x16's would be better but I have no experience with them so I cannot really comment on them.
