Default Gov Spring Numbers

i took the top off an old ve i had layin in the shop and the gov spring had a 386 on it. i think the 3200 spring is 366 but what is 386?

Here are the part numbers and different rpm defuel specs for some springs.... there are alot more. You can even get a spring to fuel up to 5200 rpm.

1-464-650-386 spring = 2800rpm spring *Stock*
1-464-650-366 spring = 3200rpm spring *Best Over All Mod*
1-464-650-374 spring = 3800rpm spring *May need to trim to Stock Length*need 60 lbs valve springs*
1-464-650-354 srping = 4200rpm spring *May need to trim to Stock Length*need 60 lbs valve springs*

Some guys are working on it. They were for the VE that they used in the VW diesels. The spring mount is a little different but guys are working on it. I would love to get my hands on a VW VE pump.

A diesel runnin 5 grand or more. I wonder what that sounds like. And What happens when she comes apart

watch most of your modified pullin trucks their leavin the line at like 5-6k maybe more the banks sidewinder duramax leaves at like 8000 rpms off the line it sounds ridiculous doenst even sound like a diesel

The 5000 RPM VE pumps used plungers half the size as our VE pumps; they went faster but moved a lot less fuel.

Yes but if you could get ours to turn 5k.... hmmmmmm... There are secrets to be learned
