Valair Vs. South Bend

I've been very happy with my SB 3250 DD. I've never had/driven or have any friends locally who have a Valair. But their service and clutches seem really good also. If I had a dual disk Valair, it would probably be the same story about it being a good clutch. IMO if you want to hold 500+hp and keep it driveable and be able to tow you have to get a dual disc.

have the valair kevlar/ cermaic in my truck and I pull a 35ft camper the clutch is a little grabby without any weight but it smooths out real nice the more weight you stack on the smoother it is. Go with the hydro upgrades for a nice easy push pedal if you can swing it my clutch is rated for 500rear wheel hps.

Well, thanks to Scott at Alligator Performance, I got the South Bend and like it so far. It's holds well and the hydraulic upgrade was a good purchase. It is a bit loud but, I'll get used to it. Good Luck s10driver with your purchase. Sorry no pics though. Friend put it in for me at his shop while I was putting in some work. Gotta pay for that expense before the wife finds out how much I spent...
