Valair Vs. South Bend

OK, I am tired of doing research so, I am looking to you guys for input. I have a 2005 Dodge 2500 with Smarty and Cold Air Intake. It is a 6 speed manual and in need of a new clutch immediately. I was looking at a South Bend Dual Disk but, I am now comparing it with other companies such as Valair. This truck is my normal drive around truck that is used to pull a 30ft Fifth Wheel Camper and some farm work as well. What is my best bet? Most people have said to go with South Bend but, I wanted more input before dropping 1500 on a clutch.

Justin, both clutches are great clutches. I wouldn't hesitate to do either a south bend 3250 or the 550hp rated Valair Organic Dual Disc for towing. Either of these clutches are going to do a great job for holding the power and taking some abuse while towing. Do you plan on ever doing anymore performance upgrades like a turbo or injectors?

Thanks guys for the input so far. I really don't plan to do too much more as of right now. Money getting tight and another child on the way. I would like to upgrade the injectors and putting on the Airdog but, that will all wait til another lifetime. Haha.

Yeah any of them will do a phenomenal job!

i was looking at the valair and i cant seem to find what PN i would want, i do some towing and would like to make more power out of my truck, i want something rated for 500 to 600 horse and rated to tow. everything i find is not recommended for towing... also do the hydralics need to be upgraded with one of these?

Towing clutches:

NMU70279-06 500hp/1000tq single disc, no boosted launching, no sled pulling

NMU70NV56DDSN-Org. rated at 550/1100 Organic Dual Disc, smoothest towing clutch we sell, not recommended for boosted launching

if you drive aggressive and tow
NMU70NV56DDSN Ceramic version rated at 650/1300 will hold 750/1500

the duals are currently out of stock until the 10th of next month

upgraded hydraulics not required

I just looked at NMU70NV56DDSN, and it states non SFI approved. would this be a big deal if i wanna do a few hooks?

Also i dont want a very loud clutch. how does NMU70NV56DDSN sound.
